Shelly Wegman, MS, RD, LDN Shelly Wegman is a registered dietitian and licensed nutritionist who received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Meredith College. She joined the team in 2007.
Shelly worked at Rex Healthcare for more than 8 years in a clinical setting and continues to work at their Wellness Centers teaching nutrition education classes. Shelly works with a variety of clientele including those with food allergies and intolerances, those in need of weight management, diabetes and disease management, and pre and post surgery bariatric counseling.
Her focus is on helping clients achieve their goals through a balance of good nutrition and physical activity. Shelly enjoys cooking and running and time with her dogs.
Sheri Allen, MS, MPH, RD, LDN Sheri received her Bachelors degree in biology from Wells College in upstate New York and a Masters degree in science education from Syracuse University. After teaching middle school science in Ventura, CA, she moved to Apex with her husband in 1994. Motivated by personal experiences with friends and family members wrestling with preventable health issues, Sheri decided to pursue a career in nutrition. She recently completed a Masters degree in public health and nutrition at UNC-Chapel Hill. Combining her love of teaching with her nutrition background, Sheri wishes to help individuals understand the connection between eating well and staying healthy.
Having two very active teenage boys, Sheri fully understands the stresses of making healthy choices while on the go. She also understands the importance of developing healthy eating habits for ourselves, as well as for our children, despite the stresses of daily life. Having a plan is the key. Sheri helps people strategize and make choices that are both quick and satisfying.
Sheri’s experience includes medical nutrition therapy and cardiac rehabilitation nutrition at both Rex and WakeMed Hospitals, as well as weight management at Duke Diet and Fitness Center. Besides her love of food and family, Sheri also enjoys chauffeuring her boys all over the map.
Anna LaBarre, RD, LDN Anna LaBarre is a registered dietitian and licensed nutritionist who received her degree in foods and nutrition from Meredith College. Anna is currently working toward completion of her master's degree in nutrition from Meredith.
As a nutrition educator and group fitness instructor, Anna believes healthy eating and exercise are fundamental to overall health and longevity. She takes special interest in the integral role food and nutrition play in slowing the aging process. She looks forward to working with clients who want to achieve weight loss, improve their nutrition and develop a healthy mind and body.

Lori A. Stevens, RD, LDN After earning a degree in business from Fairfield University, Lori Alizieri Stevens returned to school to earn a second degree in Foods and Nutrition from Meredith College. Her passion for nutrition was discovered while living overseas, where she learned about nutrition and its effects on the disease process in illnesses such as diabetes and heart disease. Lori was impressed by a dietitians' ability to help people live healthier, more productive lives.
Lori believes very strongly that nutrition education is the key to optimal health. She understands that people are bombarded with confusing and sometimes false messages about nutrition. As a nutritionist, Lori can help sort through these messages and find the true facts. She will also provide encouragement and support that will help you succeed no matter what your nutrition goals. You are never too old or too young to improve your diet and make a lifestyle change.
Lori assists people in overcoming eating disorders. Her goal is to aid clients in recognizing food as necessary for health and teaching clients to develop a positive relationship with food. She focuses on supporting and educating patients throughout the recovery process.
As a recreational runner and cyclist, Lori has a special interest in sports nutrition. Nutrition and physical activity go hand in hand and athletes of all levels need proper nutrition to optimize performance. Lori's work experience includes EFNEP (NC Cooperative Extension's Food and Nutrition Education Program) and WakeMed Cary Hospital. Lori lives in Apex, NC with her husband and three children.

Bhuvana Parmar, MS, RD, LDN Bhuvana Parmar received her bachelor degree in Food Science and Quality Control, and Masters of Sciences degree in Foods and Nutrition from India. She relocated to Raleigh NC in 2000. After coming to USA, she continued her education and achieved certificate in Core Concept in Public Health from UNC-Chapel Hill and her dietetic internship from Meredith College, Raleigh, NC
Bhuvana is currently working as registered dietitian and licensed nutritionist at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital, Dunn, NC. She works as outpatient as well as inpatient dietitian with various clientele on Weight Management, Diabetes, Renal Disease, Hypertension, Heart Healthy Meal Planning, and Gastrointestinal Disease such as Celiac Disease; she also performs individual and group nutritional counseling in Cardiac Rehab. With her vast areas of expertise, she can assist you in any aspects of the food and nutrition to achieve your goals of better health.
Besides the work, she enjoys spending time with her 3-year old daughter and husband. Bhuvana likes coaching healthy lifestyles to children and adults by promoting the importance of healthy meal planning and physical activity to improve the quality of life. She believes that the life is good and healthy eating makes it better!
Cathie Ostrowski, MS, RD, LDN
Cathie Ostrowski is a registered and licensed dietitian. She earned her masters degree in nutrition from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York. She is the President of Personalized Nutrition, Inc., a nutrition consulting and education company. Cathie received the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year in 2000. Cathie has worked with several well-known companies and organizations such as Cisco Systems, North Carolina Pork Council, Ericsson, Biogen Inc., Cary Family YMCA, Rich Products Corporation, Women, Infants and Children (WIC), and the New York Universities of Rochester and Syracuse. She also provides nutrition services in several physician offices in Cary and Raleigh.
In Cathie’s practice, she emphasizes healthy eating habits and a non-dieting approach to nutrition. She encourages her clients to make permanent lifestyle changes because diets don't work! Making behavioral changes such as eating healthy and staying physically active are the keys to a permanently healthy lifestyle.
When making recommendations, Cathie uses reliable alternative and scientifically tested medical nutrition therapy. She has helped many people realize their nutritional and weight goals.
